1. Noindex a Post or Page Using NoIndex Tag

<meta name=”robots” content=”noindex”>
Put the above code in the header of a page that you don’t want to index in search engines.
Put the following code if you only want to prevent Google from indexing your site.
<meta name=”googlebot” content=”noindex”>
2. Noindex a Post or Page Using Robots.txt File
If you wish to use this method, you need to add a few lines of code to robots.txt file to stop indexing a page from search engines.
For example if you wish to noindex this page: https://www.seoedublog.com/website-not-showing-in-google-search/
You should add code like following in robots.txt file.
Once you add the above code, it tells search engines not to index that page in search results.
3. Noindex a Post or Page Using Yoast SEO Plugin
No indexing WordPress page using Yoast SEO Plugin is the best and easiest method, even freshers can easily do it with one single click.
To noindex page using this method you should use Yoast SEO plugin if you were already using it in your site follow the following instructions, if not install it from here Yoast SEO
Step 1: Edit the page you wish to noindex.
Step 2: Scroll down to the bottom until you see the Yoast SEO Meta Box.
Step 3: Click Advanced.
Step 4: Select No from “Allow search engines to show this Post in search results?”
4. Noindex a Complete WordPress Site.
This method is mostly useful to the people who wish to stop indexing a complete website temporarily, like when the site is under construction or redesigning the site in another folder in the same server.
Step 1: Click Settings and Select reading.
Step 2: Check the box, Discourage search engines from indexing this site
Step 3: Save Changes.
As soon as you click save changes, WordPress will add a no index code on all the pages and posts,
So, search engines cannot index your website.
